2022 Bahamas Rendezvous
Our team would like to thank all of our guests who joined us on our first annual rendezvous in the Bahamas. Eleven yachts joined us as we visited five gorgeous islands over eight days.
The OWYG crew left at dawn from Roscioli Yachting Center on the 2022 Sunseeker 74 Sport Yacht and headed for Fisherman’s Village in Bimini. The journey took about three hours in total.
That evening, we hosted a cocktail party on Rockwell Island and enjoyed the amazing sunset. Thank you to Shore Premiere Finance for sponsoring our evening. In addition, we want to thank Yacht Land for all of their support while we were staying on Bimini.
August 13th Chub Cay Resort & Marina
The following morning our flotilla departed for Chub Cay Resort & Marina 84 nautical miles from Bimini. We had perfect weather and our entire fleet cruised into Chub Cay with ease.
Our group stayed just one night at Chub Cay Resort and Marina, as it was a stopover to Staniel Cay Yacht Club. It was a great opportunity for everyone to relax and enjoy the fabulous facilities. If you haven’t yet visited Chub Cay Resort and Marina, put it on your list of destinations.
Our flotilla included yachts from Sunseeker, Riviera, Absolute along with our two tenders from Chris Craft and Jupiter. It was great to see our guests and their yachts in style as we cruised the Bahamas.
August 14th – 16th Staniel Cay Yacht Club
Our journey to Staniel Cay would be our longest at 121 nautical miles. We had perfect weather and when we arrived at Staniel Cay Yacht Club, we knew we were in paradise. The colors of the water, the friendliness of the staff and the excitement of our guests made the journey all worthwhile.
Dockmate hosted a lovely cocktail party at SCYC and it was great to have them join us. Thank you to their team for their support!
August 15th & 16th – Staniel Cay Adventures
The following two days our group of guests explored the wonders of Staniel Cay and the surrounding islands. Our friends at Staniel Cay Adventures took our group to their favorite destinations over the next two days. Thank you to Electrosea, AB Inflatables & Seabob for sponsoring our adventures.
Our group had so much fun exploring the beautiful cays of the Exumas! Our goal for this trip was to bring clients & friends together to create lasting memories and we certainly achieved that.
The fun never ends
While we were only four days into our trip, our guests were already asking when next year’s rendezvous is happening. Believe it or not, we are already working on our next trip, so stay tuned!
We also want to thank E11Even Vodka for supporting our event!
On the last evening on Staniel, our crew celebrated on Sandy Cay while enjoying a beautiful sunset. Thank you again to AB Inflatables for making this happen!
On our way back to the marina, our crew said goodbye to the infamous swimming pigs. Until next time.
August 17th & 18th – Atlantis Resort, Nassau
After spending three days at Staniel Cay, it was time for our group to head to Atlantis Resort & Marina which was a 75nm trip. The marina staff was so gracious and helpful. Our staff stayed at the resort to catch up on work and get refreshed. Sometimes we take for granted the resources we have access to such as fresh water, groceries and everyday essentials.
Atlantis Cocktail Party
As with all adventures, there can be hiccups. Our group had planned on enjoying a beautiful cocktail party at the Royal Overlook Terrace, but thanks to a sudden rainstorm, we adjusted our plans at the last minute. The crew at the Atlantis Resort was amazing and our guests had a fabulous time! Thank you to Chris Craft for sponsoring our Atlantis Cocktail Party.
August 19th – Mega Marina, Bimini
As with all adventures, they must come to an end. Our group left Nassau on August 19th and headed to Mega Marina on Bimini, which was our longest trip at 121nm.
Our flotilla got checked into the marina just in time for our last party.
We hosted a Farewell Dinner at the Healing Hole Bar at Resorts World Bimini, thanks to our sponsor Nasco Worldwide. The Hilton catering crew did a fabulous job and it was the perfect ending to an epic trip.
Thank You
We want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined us on this adventure and for all of you who helped make it happen! Our first annual rendezvous was an amazing trip and we are looking forward to our next one. Until then.
